Hike to Hraftinaskur Hut; camp (Approx. 7.5 miles, 1500ft elevation gain)

Today we start our hike! We’ll be hiking 7.5 miles and gaining about 1500 ft of elevation, so it’s uphill today! We’ll also see plenty of thermal activity, so careful of those steam vents! Camping tonight is our first without showers and probably our most rugged campsite, including having to build little stone walls around our tents to protect from the commonly strong wind gusts.
